Simona Da Pozzo’s ATLAS DEI CORPI exhibition curated by Ex-voto, promoted by L’Arsenale di Napoli with the support of the Società Napoletana di Storia Patria, nctm e l’arte, and the matronage of the Museo Donnaregina per le arti contemporanee 2022.

Quando sbucci il marmo, si fa latte, fiume o vapore (When you peel the marble, it becomes milk, river or steam) is the title of the work created by the artist Simona Da Pozzo that relates the Atlas dei Corpi research she is conducting on the Corpo di Napoli monument. The project started in 2019, intends to propose a slow investigation on/with the Body of Naples, aka the Nile Monument: an attempt of alliance with a monument to depict the multiple bodies, human and not, at the margins of representation and representation in the public space.

When you peel the marble, it becomes milk, river or steam is structured as an action scattered in space and time to return the complexity of Atlas dei Corpi research involving the different places involved in the research itself.
Starting from the invitation made by L’Arsenale to the artist to present part of her process in the spaces of Palazzo Fondi, Ex-Voto places 3 works of the Atlas dei Corpi in 3 different contexts.
